Before starting your application

Please visit the website of the diplomatic mission of the Netherlands in your application country. The website includes important country-specific information for your application. For example, the missions in each of the 14 countries focus on specific cultural sectors. You are strongly encouraged to contact the embassy or consulate before starting an online application.

General application guidelines

Where?

Projects must take place in one of the 14 eligible countries.

Who?

Projects must involve Dutch cultural participation and local organisations/(co-)organisers. Only organisations (legal entities) can submit an application.

What?

Projects supporting cooperation and exchange between the Dutch and the local cultural sector and/or promoting the Netherlands’ cultural sector in the host country can apply for a contribution.

Projects can contribute to international creative connections of the Dutch cultural sector in the 14 countries in one or more of the following ways:

  • Promoting international exchange of work, knowledge and expertise.
  • Expanding activities and networks of cultural institutions, artists and designers.
  • Promoting existing collaboration between Dutch and local institutions.
  • Contributing to preservation and management of cultural heritage shared with the Netherlands.

When?

Current or past projects cannot apply.

Other

Yearly funds are limited. You are advised to contact the embassy or consulate before starting your online application.

Your application is sent to the Dutch embassy or consulate in the application country. You can be contacted for additional information on your project.
